"I ordered 2 copies and am passing them around to everyone I know. I just could not put this book down !!! Not only was it a great story, it made a great deal of sense. I only ordered them about 2 weeks ago and I'm re-reading it for the 3rd time; already it's starting to make a difference in the way I think and handle the things life throws at me. I've fallen a great many times, in my dreams and life, and am just starting to see the magic and make the climb back up. Not too easy to do, but anything easy isn't worth doing. I think I've found my Max, even though he may not know it !! Thank you so much for this !!! Please give us more !!! "-- Patty Corr, age 32, Boonton NJ
"Thank you so much for the personalized copies. I found the web site through your sponsor banner when clicking on my daily donation to the Rain Forest. Read all the chapters posted on the web and immediately ordered two copies. One to pass around and one for a special friend who desperately needs some "Magic Life". I hope she can absorb as much of the wonderful philosophy that you impart as I did. I realized that the steps to determine my who, what and why were quite simple. I've always felt I was in charge of my own destiny, and your wonderfully written book assisted me in confirming what I knew all along, everything happens for a reason, learn, teach, love. I'm one of the lucky ones, I share unconditional love with my husband and my family, it's the most wonderful thing! I look forward to your next publication. "-- Sharon Hand-Burns, age 40, Houston, TX
"I am finding it very difficult to put into words the magic your book has created in my life. I began reading the chapters you had posted on the internet and found myself not being able to stop. When they ended, I knew I had to buy the book and finish it. I thought about it for days and finally ordered and finished it last night. The book affected me in such a deep, profound way, I am finding it difficult to express what I am feeling with words--but I am feeling so very much. It's like a 'sleeping GIANT' has been awakened that has more power than I ever dreamed possible. Still groggy from being asleep for such a long time, this GIANT is ready to embrace all of life and is excited to remember the WHY of being and open to ALL possibilities. This gentle GIANT is so full of love, life, magic, awareness, trust and adventure that I know my life is ready for a profound change of perspective ( and perhaps direction!). I am also aware of the magic that is happening all the time regardless of whether I choose to recognize it or not. Thanks you so much for writing your story and sharing your journey. Magic Happens! "-- Sheryl Allen, age 53, Bellevue, WA
"Wow! What a great book! I could hardly put it down, and it validated for me all of the recent (difficult) decisions I've made about my life. The next book I have to read is..."The Magic Life" -- all over again!!! Thanks for sharing your gift with the world. A wonderful tale, convincingly told in a completely new fashion, and with twists that really leave a person thinking! "-- Cindy Schave, Age 46, Platteville, WI
"Your book opens the mind to many wonderful and profound thoughts. In my own life I have seen the same "magic" at work many times. How great it is to see someone else recognize and write about it. I loved your characters and could envision them in my mind and heart. I hated to finish the book because I did not want to lose contact with them, but I find that they are with me everyday. Now that is impact, Ace. I loved the ending of the book, or maybe it was only the beginning. Thank you so very, very much for the reading pleasure and thought provoking story."-- Lexis J. Petzold, age (a very young) 64, Renton, WA
"This is the best book I've read in years. Keeping with the 'magic' theme, this book 'appeared' in my life when I really needed to hear this message again - and I know I heard it with a renewed clarity through this riveting story. I could hardly put the book down. Thank you for this great reminder of what's really important. (I look forward to reading other books by Ace.)
Finding your book through the Hunger & Rainforest web page(s) was another good reason to go there. I've recommended your book to friends with similar reading interests, and will take it on our family vacation/reunion to offer it to family too. Are you planning a sequel?"-- SML, age 46, Cupertino, CA
"Have nearly finished your book, and certainly appreciate the personalized message. I do hope that at some point in time you'll be in the San Diego/La Jolla area for a book signing. I intend to build a few sermons around the message contained in your book. Hopefully this will help people realize we all have a direct connection to that which is magic; to that which we call a higher power, Allah, Yahweh or God. It's within us all. Thank you for following your heart and creating a book which presents spiritual truths about the nature of life in a manner which is understandable and magically practical."-- Rev. David Hart, Age 51, San Diego, CA
"I'm in the middle of final exams just now but I thought I must write and tell you how I liked your book "The Magic Life". I read it fairly quickly before exams, it was a great read... but what I found fascinating was that some things began to 'shift' for me. Some wounds that I have been carrying around for a few years ---- even though they had no similarity to or connection with your storyline ------suddenly, spontaneously and effortlessly, appeared in a different light, a new perspective that I felt I could work with and move forward from. So "The Magic Life" is a very very special book. I will read it again after exams and put some serious work into living magically. I've told some special friends about it too, one of them has already bought a copy through Amazon. Thanks so much for your work and your commitment to sharing it with other people. I hope it will be the first of many!"-- Bev M., age 43, Victoria, Australia
"I have never written an author before in my life. I felt that he/she wouldn't care a whole lot about my opinion, but in this case I just had to. I almost feel a bit korny saying this, but it truly was a magical book. I was at a friend's house, waiting for her to give me a ride to the airport. I was flying to my brother's college graduation in Kansas and realised I needed something to read on the long flight from New Jersey. I asked for a book to borrow and she handed me this one. She had just recieved it in the mail and hadn't had the chance to read it yet. Not knowing anything about it, I thought I would give it a read to pass the time. Like most of your readers, I was sucked in immediately and only put it down briefly to make notes. I must admit that I couldn't understand everything that you said, though I wish I could. I wish I could find a Max Vi of my own, or rather I wish he would find me. I will be ordering 2 copies of the book myself. I will need one to keep and re-read, the other will make its way to my brother. Congratulations on an amazing book! "-- Brian Timmermann, age 26, Hackettstown, NJ
"i am 16 years old. ur book of the magic life was incredible. i could not believe it. it was so interesting that i could not stop reading it. the picture in the cover was marvelous. was that a real one. nobody can be that daring. once again ur book was very very interesting. ba bye with flowers. "-- Spandana
"I just recently finished your book... wow! Your insight and inner vision are a feast for the senses. I could hardly contain myself when I read about how Max Vi and James first came in contact. It seems it was my turn to get "goose bumps." Congratulations on an outstanding, engaging, thought-provoking, and heart felt book. I'm very glad I found the world of Ace Starry and when my daughter is old enough she too will read about James and the Amazing Max Vi! Thanks Again, "-- Bob Dizon, age 30, Philadelphia, PA
"I finished your book yesterday afternoon, and I have to say that it brought tears to my eyes. Your words were able to touch me in a way that no other book has in my entire life! ... I`m a big fan of James Redfield and his Celestine Prophecy books. Also of Joseph Murphy and his books on positive thinking and the subconscious mind. When I saw your home page, and your book, I knew it was no coincidence that I was reading what you had to offer. I ordered your book that night from Amazon.com, and I finally got it last week. I was amazed at how your story had so many similarities to my life ... Ace, your story spoke to me in a very special and unique way, and I just want to thank you for writing a book that I will read over and over again. Next month on the 9th, it`ll be my brother`s birthday, so I`m going to order a copy of The Magic Life and have it sent to him (he lives in Canada) as I know that he will be blown away by it.
My wife and I had an eventful few days last week involving my estranged mother, and our 1 year old little girl (seperate incidents) that showed us the challenges that life puts in front of us. Were it not for The Magic Life, I don`t think that I would have handled things as well as I could have, particularly the incident involving our daughter and a trip to the hospital. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Reading The Magic Life is a true experience! I have already told several Japanese friends of mine of this book; so you can bet that when I move back to Canada next year, I will spread the word. I live in Japan, and my wife is Japanese, so I`m wondering if you ever plan to get your book published in Japanese. The Celestine Prophecy is very popular here, and a book like yours would do just as well. I`m sure of it. :-) Best of luck to you, and again thanks so much!"-- Barney Björnsfelt, Age 28, Sapporo Japan
"I just finished reading The Magic Life. My mother bought it at the book store in the Mall of Victor Valley. She told me she got the privilege of meeting you in person. To be honest I really don't read books that often, but yours caught my attention. I actually cried when I read it. I felt so much like I was in the book that I cried. Somehow your book found me and has been like my "Max Vi" ever since. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you. Your book has really opened my eyes and has made me want to become a better person. I used to wonder if my life was really worth living, Now thanks to your book I know it is. Once again thank you Mr. Starry, you've changed my life."-- Nate, age 19, Apple Valley, CA
"I loved the book it was fabulous. I truly loved it. Your book was a fun read. Carl was my favorite character because I'm an aspiring actress. Thank you for sharing it with me. ... I also loved your book list, I read most of them. Thanks again"-- Jacqueline Marshal, Age 26, Scarsdale, NY
"Dear Mr. Starry, I absolutely loved your book. I have been reading everything I can get my hands on lately. Trying to align myself and be open to what the universe has in store for me. But I have never felt so lost. I am 28 years old, turn 29 next month. I work in the technology industry and just can't figure out what I have a passion for. I know it is there it is burning inside of me, but it has no direction. I guess my question is, how do I find the direction. I absolutely just feel nothing. I cannot even think of what I wanted to be as a kid growing up, nothing comes to mind. I truly feel void of all inspiration and I don't know where to begin. Well, if you even get a chance to read this, I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks so much, "-- Shelbi, age 28,
"I received an e-mail from you, after you saw my comments on the Celestine Prophecy site & you suggested I might like to read your book. I immediately ordered it, however I had to wait over 2 months for the book to arrive [didn't order direct], but it was well worth the wait. I couldn't put it down! I realised a lot about my own situation & came to understand a lot of things. I'm at the 'magical' turning point in life of having reached the age of 40 (when, so thay say, life begins) - a lot of changes have occurred in my life during the [ast few years to bring me where I am today - I have a long way to go, but I have started to 'loosen the straps' on my own personal straitjacket. I am beginning to be happier with the person I am becoming & my view on life, the world & synchronicity are changing daily, hopefully for the better. Thank you for your initial e-mail & a very interesting, enlightening read in 'The Magic life' - I look forward to your next book. Regards " -- Helen Meyrick, age 40, S.Wales, U.K.
"I got your book in the mail the day before yesterday. It was a small life-defining moment of its own. Like many others who have benefitted from this miraculous book, I want to thank you for igniting the magic in my life, and reminding me in a roundabout way the reason why we are here. Many synchronicities have led to this realization at this particular moment, and i can't call it anything else but sheer magic!! It all happened at the right instance, as if this were all meant to be, that the universe is rushing in to help me as i have embarked on the journey of finding the true purpose of life. I know as a fact that this is in fact meant to be. Life is indeed magical, we just need to remember that. There's so much to be grateful for -- all the sage advice i learned from you along with other great teachers is a big part of it. Not to mention the simple pleasures of just being. You are a truly amazing teacher (a max vi to me), and i know you (in whatever form)will be there when i am ready to learn more. I believe that this generous flow of love and wisdom will affect the lives of many more. Now that's a great reason and purpose to be alive. It's a calming and reassuring thought that we are all connected no matter who and where we are, that we are all made of the same matter. as deepak chopra put it in the epilogue of 'THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL LAWS OF SUCCESS', 'We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment, but it is transcient. It is a little parenthesis in eternity. If we share with caring, lightheartedness, and love, we will create abundance and joy for each other. And then this moment will have been worthwhile.' Thank you so much again for all that you have done and will continue to do. wishing you the fondest in all your pursuits and encounters! much love, .. " -- Camellia, 26, London, U.K.
"I received your signed book Friday night. The inscription is great, thank you. I only got a chance to read through page 9 before my 14 year old son confiscated it. He noticed it on my desk and asked what it was. I suggested he might like it. I told him it talked about magic, kind of like Harry Potter. (okay, that was a stretch, but it got him to pick up the book) After that he couldn't put it down. He was reading it in bed last night with a flashlight. This morning he said, "Mom, that is an incredible book. You have to finish reading it. It's one of the best books I've ever read. It's given me a lot to think about." Thought you would like to know that you made a difference for a 14 year old! Thanks, and now it's my turn to read your book. That is, unless my 10 year old takes it next! " -- Maeileen Tuffli, Santa Fe, NM
"I love your book. Thank you soooo much for a wonderful experience! While reading "The Magic Life" I found myself excited and smiling a lot. The story is both interesting and well written. As for the philosofical aspect, ... your unique way of expressing these thoughts were very inspireing. - Anyway, we all need a reminder now and again..... YES! This book certainly made me feel more alive! I know a lot of people here in Denmark, who will be interested in reading the book. - Once more: Thank you for reminding me about the MAGIC! And remember - You are always on your way to a miracle...From my heart " -- Sannie Terese Buren, age 35, Denmark
"I would like to thank you for sharing this wonderful story with me. I've always been the kind of person who doesn't like inspirational spiritual/self-help books, rarely ordering anything from the Internet, and, when I do, usually regretting it. I would never have imagined actually reading a story by someone called Ace Starry. But I saw an intriguing link at the Hunger Site and started reading the free sample chapters, sort of as appreciation for someone who supports the Hunger Site. I was immediately hooked. Such an innocuous story, seemingly completely unrelated to my life, I had no idea that I would be so riveted by it. I feel like just reading "The Magic Life" has changed my life ... Having just finished the last page, I mostly feel... wistful. I wonder what my "why" is, and how to find it. Because I definitely feel that I'm not living it yet. I hope that, without Maximilion Vi here to guide me, I can still muddle my way into discovering my why, but at least I know now to look. I know now that there's something out there to find... magic in living, unconditional love. Thank you for your beautiful story." -- Valerie Yu-Mei Chen, age 21, California
"I just thought I would email you to let you know that I really enjoyed your book. I picked up a few good answers to a few good questions I had at the time.. I was able to apply one of your philosophies just a day after finishing your book. Friends of my mine had just split up and the guy was pretty devastated. We play darts with the boys every Wednesday night and I gave him a lift home.. I wanted to say something to him, but I felt I could not offer him any consolation.. A thought of yours came into my mind and I told him that it was not the end or beginning, but he was in the middle..We said our goodbyes and last night at a dinner party another friend, who is doing the painting of the split couple's house, in order to sell it, told me that Kai ( the friend ) had told him what I had said, so I was glad that it had made an impression on him.. And I have you to thank for that.. Obviously the right thing to have said.. Oh and btw, playing darts is a bit like magic as I still don't know how I manage to throw some wicked darts, and I am a musician as well and on the good nights which are frequent I experience the magic too.. Thanks for the good read. PS... Can you tell me your little mystery at the end of your story.. Is your wife Gina ?" -- Peter , age 41, New Zealand
"I stayed up all night reading til I finished this marvelous book (I know you never heard THAT before!) and can't begin to tell you of the changes I now have the courage to make -- some of these changes are painful but I'm fairly certain I'll live! To say thank you seems so inadequate for the inspiration and impetus you have given. May all the good you do through your book come back to you a thousand-fold. God Bless! -- " -- Janet Tagg, age 46, Mechanicsburg, PA
"I would first like to commend you on your novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and I thought that the message was incredible ... many of the lessons you offer are lessons that a few of my mentors have already taught me (about following your heart, and the idea that unconditional love one of the most, if not the most, important things in life), I must say that one of your lessons did strike me as odd (in a cool way, of course): the idea that there are no coincidences. I have long wondered about the incredibly eerie coincidences that have befallen me over the past couple of years. However, when I discuss such events with friends, they seem to dismiss them as just that: coincidences, and nothing more. Anyways ... after reading your book, I was definitely impressed ... thanks a lot and take care. " -- Dan Oliphant, age 19, St. Louis, Missouri
"Take care and keep pushing your book. It is marvelous. I've finished two books in my life that I really enjoyed and can remember. Yours is one of them. It had an impact and it helped me through a rocky time. You are so incredibly talented." -- Mary Ann, age 42, Idaho
"Wow! What a wonderful job you did creating, "The Magic Life". Something told me it was special when I went to your site from Hunger Site. I am telling everyone I know that its a MUST read. I even forwarded your web site to most of the people in my address book. Reading you book has given me a much needed boost toward implementing the truth I've learned in my life in my every thought and moment. I can't say I'm "running" yet, but the shoes are on and I seem to be "walking" at a much faster pace. If you get published and go on the road to signings or discussion groups please let me know ... I also want to thank you for providing another source for my husband to see that men are here to learn the truth too. I was thrilled when he overheard me interacting with the book and he asked if he could be the next to read it. I'm praying when he does he'll begin to better recognize that the only thing keeping us from our dreams are our own perspectives and thoughts. Success and joy are here now you just have to know where and what to look for. Thank you again and again. Blessing to you and Kristin and Katie." -- Leona Cram Simon
"I just wanted you to know that, today, I finished reading your book. It was amazing, beyond words, and a highly emotional experience. I will definitely have to read it again, and maybe even a lot of times to carefully understand some of the messages I encountered. I truly hope that you will be given a lot of years to write for an ever increasing public :-D And here is the magic part of this message, although nothing really special ;-): I came to realize how lucky I was that you sent me the message titled: synchronicity; that's when you wrote to me for the first time. I never told you this, but I almost deleted your message on line without reading it !!! Am I glad that I did not ! " -- Antonio de Ruijter, age 34, Holland
"I just finished your book on Friday. I didn't have time to read it all in one day so I kept it with me everywhere I went. I have to pick my son up at school everyday at 2:45 I would leave early so I could have at least 25 to 30 minutes ALL by myself with no commotion just me and the magic life. When my son would get out of school I was disappointed and couldn't wait till the next day when I could pick up reading where I left off. (sometimes I would go an hour ahead of time) ... I have to tell you that I didn't want the book to end. I just loved it. When people asked me about your book (since it was my sidekick for a month) I would tell them that you and I had very similar experiences and that they really need to read it because it is sooooo good and would change there way of thinking. I am trying to help you out with your sales and told them that they would have to go and buy there own book. (smile) But my mom took your book from me yesterday. ... I must tell you that I cried, I laughed and I rooted [James] on and as for Max, how cool. I can relate. Isn't life a blast when you find your purpose? Now if I could only convince Bud that his purpose is not to kill himself in the corporate life, but to do what his heart has always told him to (race horses). But he will have to find that out for himself. I tried to get him to read your book, maybe he will? Now that would be magic. Take care my friend, And thank you for sharing your magic life with the world. " -- Joy LaPlante (Author of ANGEL GABRIEL - A TRUE STORY) Petersburg, MI, USA
"I would consider myself to be a pretty enlightened person, but in the middle of a particularly difficult time in my life, I was given your book as a gift...in a very interesting way. Since I do know that there are no coincidences, I immediately stopped whatever I was doing, and sat down and read your message. What I got was the gift of being reminded that we cannot stop living, even though we might feel that is what we want to do...continuing on and living through everything we are given in life is what creates joy. Thanks for reminding me. " -- Judy Bowers, age 43, Stateline, NV
"Mr. Starry, First of all, I usually do not write to authors and usually I do not read fiction or motivational works. Your book has touched something inside of me that I cannot explain and do not yet understand. I feel as if I abandoned the child inside of me or rather that the ice cream fell off of the top of my cone and I feel helpless to do anything about it, yet your novel has stirred something inside of me. I so much identified with the main character that it scares me. I have downloaded sample chapters from the Internet and have devoured them but at the same time felt like time stopped as I was reading your work. It reminded me that I have passed up a great many opportunities in my life and that now perhaps it is too late at my age 51 to "make the magic." Your book offers me hope but perhaps a cruel hope in that at this point in my life I have many obstacles-some so dark as to not be believable. Still I savor your book and perhaps can dream of what might have been. You are an exceptional man to find your magic and make it manifest. " -- Rose Hargrove, age 51, Aurora, CO
"I just received your book yesterday afternoon - and as I'd already printed and read nine chapters off the internet - I devoured it in only two hours. I'll begin it again - at a slower, more-liesurely pace, this afternoon. I want you to know, I have been studying spiritual and metaphysical philosophies for quite a few years, and have read and enjoyed more than a hundred such books. And yet, with all that "knowledge".... I cannot put my finger on exactly what you've done here - I just know it is wonderful. and that for some reason, your book was more emotionally moving than any I've come across. Indeed you spoke to me. I spend most of my days writing for my job - and usually have no lack of words. On the subject of your book - I am truly at a loss. It touched me very deeply and at this early stage in my reflecting upon it, I cannot even say why. I do know that in each moment I am more clearly recognizing the need to be open to, and receive joyously all the gifts bestowed upon me. Ace, you have a wonderful gift and we are all grateful for your sharing of it. My wish is that we take this, move forward, and act upon our dreams. Perhaps I'll even write the book I've been carrying around in my heart all these years. Thank you again for sharing your joy - there is truly no blessing greater than this. " -- Toni A. Lutes, age 46, South Lake Tahoe, CA
"WOW! I'm impressed! You're book is very good..... I just couldn't put it down. Of course my heart went thump when ... [removed by author] ... quest to find out why he's even alive - his purpose - his passion. This book is good and I can see how it can become successful. So many people wonder why they even exist. And on the other hand, there are those who never ask and just go through life never being completely alive. I've been wondering myself for sometime since none of my projects seem to be happening. I know patience is one of the key ingredients, but the years keep rolling by. I've been so discouraged for quite sometime. Just when I think I've done something that will make a difference, nothing happens. Max Vi's words of wisdom at just the right moment were good. It's as if, I was wondering the same thing and suddenly the Magician said it. I felt Jim's frustration and his moments of understanding. Thank you for writing this book! I KNOW IT'S GOING TO BE A SUCCESS! Could really relate to Austin. Please keep in touch," -- Karin Peterson, age 53, (founder of The Orphan Connection) Austin, TX, USA
"I am reading your book but I have to fight for it with my youngest son he is 12 and he just loves magic. He started asking me about your book when he saw it and when I told him it was about magic and then I told him about you being a magician he picked it up and has not put it down. You have performed a magic act with Tyler because he doesn't like to read. He keeps telling me Oh mom, wait till you get to this part. When I ask him what he is talking about he says, Well when you get done with it then we can talk about it but I'm not going to tell you right now. LOL I think he is using some of the psychology that I have used on him, with me."-- Joy LaPlante, (Author of ANGEL GABRIEL - A TRUE STORY) Petersburg, MI, USA
"I am 14 years old, and in the 9th grade. My mom bought your book when you were signing them at the College of Southern Idaho, in Twin Falls, Idaho. My dad is friends with Tony Mannen (They're both Drama teachers) and Tony insisted that we buy your book. I didn't think I'd understand it, but as soon as I started reading, it instantly became my favorite book. I just wanted you to know that you are a wonderful writer, and that your book is purely MAGICAL!"-- Mandie M., age 14, Twin Falls, ID, USA
"First, thank you for the book, and for seeing that I am about to see Why I am here. You know, when the pupil is ready the teacher arrives. I needed to read your book. I identified myself with Max on the windowsill, and that's what happend to me, but I forgot to start living a real magic life, nearly there .... I dearly recommend this book to all of you, it's a book to have handy for all the people that we will encounter when we set out on our jurney, to be of service. And to remember that Life is magic for our selves."-- Lise Andreassen, age 46, Antequera, Spain (Originally from Norway)
"I loved the book! In fact, I keep it on my bedside table with all of my other inspirational material. There are times that I need an answer and open it at random; guess what? there's the magic! There are no accidents in the universe and reading The Magic Life was a very serendipitous event."-- Alexandra Finale, age 53, Torrance, CA, USA
"As I was outside painting my house I was thinking about you book. Something kept nagging at me when comparing The Celestine Prophesy and The Magic Life. Then it dawned. They really don't. Your book is much better written and your book compels a person to go within instead of looking without for coincidences. If I were to compare your book with another, it would have to be one I first read many years ago and still refer to from time to time. The title is "The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman. I don't know if you have read it but I know it has as much staying power as yours will have for you can still get it at all the big book stores. James seems to fit the profile of a "peaceful warrior ". Since you say he is kind of like you... do you?"-- Jan Alonzo, Seatle, WA, USA
"l haven't been able to work for over 2 years due to spinal problems. I have been going through severe depression over the loss of my "old life". Ever since l was young, l have always dreamed of becoming an artist. Over the past few months l've combined that dream with my love of animals, and have started painting pictures of pets. l have recently sold a couple of them, and l think l'm actually starting to get pretty darned good at it if l do say so myself! But the depression was still there. Just Weds night l remembered your book. lt brought a lot of things into perspective for me. l don't know why l developed the spinal problems, but it FORCED me to rely on my other talents. Even though l haven't been able to generate much income from my paintings, l am doing what l have always dreamed of. (Now if it would just put food on the table!!)"
"lt's important to me that you actually fully understand how much you and your book have done for me. l'm not a person that is easily influenced by others at all. But you have given me the courage to follow my dream....and actually, l wonder if it's more like my destiny than a dream!! For that, l owe you my heartfelt thanks. Yes, you really DO touch REAL lives!! Best wishes!"-- Kathy Davis, age 45, Canton, OH, USA
"The interview was wonderful and really captured the essence of your book. Speaking of which I finished it and have given it to my husband to read. It really helped me feel things in my heart rather then just believe them in my head. I am working on living the "Magic Life". My biggest problem is being patient enough to take it one step at a time. Thank you for writing it and look forward to your next one. "-- Monica Longaker, age 51, Oakhurst, CA, USA
"The Magic Life" is a good read, inspiring and spiritual. I've really enjoyed it. Its a personal development workbook without the reader having to "work it"! Thanks, Ace, for your clever and entertaining story! ...I will, with pleasure recommend your book[s] to my friends & acquaitances. ALSO, I may be teaching a class on Spirituality & finding your life's purpose. I'll happily include "The Magic Life" on my list of recommended reading!"-- Mary Ann McNeely, age 43, MD, USA.
"I just finished your book late last night. I loved it! It was very inspiring to me, especially since I'm in the middle of a major career overhaul right now. You've got a real talent for communicating with people. I'll recommend your book to my friends. Thanx for a great read! "-- Heather, age 24, Milwaukee, WI
"Thanks for a book that gave me some insights that were very useful in my life right now. Especially the piece about looking at the answers in front of you instead of focusing on the questions. Also the phrase "When the student is ready the teacher will appear." is really applicable on many things. Again thanks and keep up the good work. "-- Thomas Schulz, age 44, Sweden
"I just wanted to say thank you so very much for your book. I printed up the chapters after I had ordered the book and read them... finished them before the book arrived and eagerly awaited its arrival. I have since finished your book and I am telling people about it. The Magic Life really made me think about "who" I am, "what" I am, and my "why". The hardest of them all is the "why".... I am one of those that has decided to fully persue my "why" even if it means leaving my job (which I work for my father). I have always loved massage therapy and giving someone that feeling of relief of pain through massage therapy. I plan on persuing a career in massage therapy and I also plan on opening an herbal shop. My "why" might take some time (since I have to attend schooling for the massage therapy).... but it is well worth it. Thank you again for The Magic Life and your personal touch by responding to any emails that I have sent. I eagerly await the second book and your book on Matrixing. Unconditionally, "-- Heather Patterson, age 24, Raleigh, NC.
"When you first e-mailed me to tell me about your novel, I knew something special was going to happen. For a short time before our introduction, I sensed that something in my life was going to change. I have been on my personal quest for about 3 years now and have enjoyed the growth and the peace I have achieved. However, I had been feeling as though it was time for me to move to the "next level" as it were. I was unsure how to get there or what "there" even meant. Then, you appeared on the scene. As soon as I read your e-mail and learned of your book, I knew. I knew the answers would be there. It's not something I can explain in words. The best I can do is to say that your novel solidified some very important "knowings" in my soul. Doubt has been erased, and I feel that I do now understand the magic of life, of the tiniest things that are encountered on a daily basis. A smile, a laugh, a twinkle in someone's eye. Life is incomplete without these things. Doubt in the process has been my biggest battle so far. After reading your novel, I can honestly say that I feel as though the universe exists inside me, that I am the creator. I have known of my "why" for a while. I truly do not work a day in my life. Yet, recently I have expanded on my why and learned to incorporate my childhood passion into it. I am very excited to see where this will lead. You said that the universe will rush in to help. I know of nothing more true - not through mere words on a page, but through experience. It is so fun to watch it unfold and to know that it is all perfect. I pity those whose existence is lacking in this fundamental truth and I am grateful for authors and individuals like yourself who are committed to spreading the magic of life. Thank you for helping me conquer my doubt. Unconditionally and forever growing in love, "-- Jennifer Kocek
"Got the book, whizzed through it in 1 1/2 days it was just so darn good. But I'll reread it more slowly. :) It is a wonderful book, and I do hope you spread the magic to everyone! Thank you so much for reminding me of some things I haven't been listening to lately. (i.e. I've been on automatic pilot for a long time...) I'm very much looking forward to your other books as well. " -- Jeanne Duprey
"I just finished reading your book, cover to cover, word for word. It was wonderful! It's inspiring! I hope to continue to live the magic! I have already told several people that this book is mandatory reading. Magically yours, Lynn. " -- Lynn Hobbs
"I did it, in two days! I could not put the book down. I had to know what happened to James! I read, read, read! I admit to being somewhat "slow" at catching on, much like James, but, I believe I caught most of the lessons that James learned. I have several questions about this being a bit autobiographical for you, although I did read the disclaimer at the book's beginning. I find that my life is similar to James' life. I do my job and I do a good job. However, to find the "magic" and discover "why" would interrupt my family's life. This was an amazing read Ace! I will not be able to sleep tonight for pondering all that the book offered. Thanks for an awesome book! Miss the Magic Already!" -- Pollyanna Haas
"I bought my copy of your book at Borders and Books at Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville a couple of Friday nites ago. The book fits in perfectly with my life coaching strategies that I teach my clients. Thanks for a great book. " -- Bob Hueglin
"Hey! I read your book too! Hard to believe since your are "my baby Brother" It's fantastic.. I thought at first you were full of it, but now I realize that you have a God given talent to write. Good luck from your biggest critic... " -- Kirk Starry, age 42, Boise, ID. *** (my older brother finally got around to reading it)
"Terrific Book ! I loved it and I can't wait to see it on the Best Seller List. " -- Nora
"Just wanted to drop you a line. Your book is fantastic. I ordered a signed copy from you around the middle of May, however I did not begin to read it until the 4th of July weekend. Once I opened it, I could not put it down. I actually finished it in two readings. The book was thoroughly enjoyable and on-point. Tell me, when is your next book due-your leaf page said 1999-I want it!!!-Please get back with me ant tell me when and where to purchase." -- Sam
"I just couldn't stop reading! I find it rare when a book not only entertains, but also manages to touch mind, body and spirit. It is truly a book of magic." -- -- Jim Rock, age 38 Marietta, GA
"I wanted to write you and tell you, from the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU. I took your book home, and read it from cover to cover the very next day. You are an inspiring man - you have changed my life, and my attitude towards life. Even though it doesn't begin to describe my gratitude, again - THANK YOU" -- Striving for unconditional love, -- "-- Karla Bank, age 25, Twin Falls, ID
"Hi, I have just finished reading your book (in one day) and I have enjoyed it very much, Thank You. One might say that it was too short. When you find something this good, you want it to go on forever. While reading your book I felt myself in there, not to take away from the experiences that you have gone through, but you seemed to have written this book in a way that others could relate to on a very personal level. There are many experiences in the book that I could relate to, but the one that was the most profound to me was the statement 'You are the one.' I know that you state this book is fiction, but I have learned that no one could possibly make this stuff up without experiencing it for themselves and I want to say thank you for having the courage to write about it so that others could have verification that they are not alone."-- Josephine
"I just finished reading your book. I loved every minute of reading it and thought you ended it beautifully. I now know my reason for having to read it. My path of learning has only been 4 years long, although I've been into the unknown since I was 14 . I'll be 34 next week. Anyway, the purpose of your book was to show me that I am living the magic life and the fact that I'm impatient with what I think should be happening will be happening when the universe sees fit. I also believe there are no coincidences, Everyone we meet has something to teach us or something we need to teach them. Every time we are faced with the same situation the universe is trying to show us what's going on so that we won't allow it to happen again except some of us take a little longer to realize it: ). Most of all to become aware of what opportunites are in front of us, when we are aware of opportunites, good and bad both having lessons contained within, then we are living the magic life. I'm living the magic life and will continue to do so for I know all of whom I touch will touch another and another and another. Thank you for sharing your work. " -- Irene
"What hit me more that almost all of the other messages that I needed to hear in your book was the Third thing of real importance in life - Love. This message has been coming to me in so many varied and repeated ways recently that I know it is time to accept the truth. That's where I need to be working. Your comment about Maslow's Hierarchy of needs took me by surprise. I have acknowledged that I am more self actualized that many and have found myself seeking to bring help and peace to others. Almost like God puts some of their pain on me so that they can survive their personal crisis. Could this be your next level, the need to fulfill the needs of others. It would explain so much. So much of the pain I feel when others hurt. Thanks for the eye opener and the peace of understanding." -- Sue Moore
"Well, I said that I would write to you when I finished your book, "The Magic Life". It's been very thought provoking! Let me first say how much I enjoyed the read because it flowed so well. The character development was really good and none of the central characters turned out to be what I expected. The little 'twist in the tale' at the end was also clever in how you left it to your reader's imagination ... Good one! As for the deeper message you are conveying, ... on reading your book, I realised that it was my 'why' I had to discover, first, before I could run! The answer is so easy that it isn't true! Unconditional love, in the here and now.....and that nothing is ever too late to try anything! However, it is these words which particularly struck a chord with me: "Before any dream is realized, life tests everything you learned along the way. Life doesn't do this because it is evil, but rather because it wants you to master the lessons you learn on your journey. The closer you get to the dream, the tougher those lessons become". I was reading your book each night before turning out my light, much to my sleepy husband's chagrin! In the end, I resorted to a flashlight! As you know, I am a member of the Onelist Internet Celestine Prophecy Group. We're studying the Insights, in depth, ... my group must be sick of me quoting you! ;)
I have always shunned my own dreams - to sing (an easy excuse to put it on the back-burner when you're a young Mum) and feel lack of completion in my life in this area. Well, in the last few weeks, after gaining much inspiration from your book, I 'stepped out of my self-immposed mold' and went into a recording studio, hired session musicians and produced one of my songs. I'm 39 and while I am not ignorant enough to know that age is a big factor in Rock and Pop, I have decided to pursue my interest (LOVE, actually!) of writing songs and to try to sell them. It won't be lucrative, I know, but if I am able to finance the production of another song and if my songs have meaning to someone else, then it's worth it! While standing in the vocal booth, the thought that came to my mind were your words when you said that we're never at the beginning or the end of life.....we're always in the middle! Not only this, the effect it has had on my children, knowing their Mum is following her dreams, is astounding. My daughter actually wrote an essay saying that I was her heroine because I was pursuing my dream to be a singer/songwriter! I was floored. The domino effect is astounding me! I didn't realise just how disempowering my lack of discovering my own "why" was on my own children. I still firmly believe in being at home with my girls during their growing years, but writing songs for others is a way to be creative and do both at the same time. This certainly is turning out to be a "Magical Life"....thank you, Ace, for extending your important message to me and, I hope, to many others. I have a tendancy to blurb on for ages so I will leave it there. However, I sense there is room for a second book? A sort of follow-up to James's wild adventure as he lives his Magic Life? ... I would love to carry on the adventure, so please keep writing! Thanks for letting me 'hear' your important message!" -- Marion Odgers
"I have always found that when I am reading there is this knowledge of the book in front of me, and that the story is *only a book*... but when reading "The Magic Life" I just completely forgot. I found myself completely immersed in the story, sharing the extremes of every moment and occasionally having to put the book down to control my emotions! I didn't know that was possible, so I thank you, Ace, for showing me it is. In fact, your story turned many of my imagined impossibilities into real possibilities, so that on my own feet I can now make them actualities*.I know that if I had touched someone as you have touched me I would love to hear about it, and that is why I write you this email - a sincere thankyou." -- Dave Stone (20 yr-old student, England)
"So it was no coincidence that you and your book came into my life... Your words inspired great emotion in me today: I cried tears of sadness and pain that I thought I had already cried out, opening my soul even more; I laughed, I smiled, I felt awe, wonder and amazement, I felt gratitude. So thank you Ace Starry for participating in my life. Thank you for re-minding me of what I already know: thank you for inspiring, uplifting and shifting me..." -- Judee Pouncey, age 54, Tallahasee, FL
"I don't know if you remember me, but I got a copy of your wonderful book in Houston, TX in front of Walden Books in West Oaks Mall. (I was in a wheelchair hoping my Mom would buy a copy for me and she did) Well, just to let you know, as soon as I got home I read 10 chapters that night, of your book. I would like to congratulate you on this book because its been one of the best books I have ever read. Thanks." -- Your Fan Edgar A.
"Just wanted to quickly let you know how moved I was by your book. I can't agree more about learning and teaching through our connections with other people. I always had what seemed to be a "immature" philosophy of fate and destiny. Friends would laugh and tell me to "get real". You've restored my faith and have made me really soul search to find what my life is for and to fulfill my life contract. I believe I was ready and that's why you appeared. No coincidence whatsoever. Thanks for sharing- " -- Scott Weiner, Atlanta, GA
"Just wanted to let you know your book arrived Wed. afternoon and I finished it last night. Really a page turner and I enjoyed it. Good work!! I'm most curious to know how you gained all the wisdom you shared in the book ... Best of luck selling loads of copies. " -- Paulette Avery
"I have just finished your novel and it was great! It came around at a good time for me. You signed the book while you were at the Waldenbooks store downtown. My mom was the one who actually purchased the book there for my birthday. You asked her a little about me and then signed it with the line 'The trick is not to make a living of magic - the trick is to make magic out of living. ' That had to be the most fitting line you could have written for me. You see, I had become confused with that in my own life. You also said to look for meaning in any amazing coincidence, and that I have. My mom bought the book for me for my birthday which just happened to be February 23. My copy of the book was #223, my birthday! A lot of things you put in it had me relating to myself. The way James saw Max was the way I was beginning to see you as the author of the book ... Nevertheless this book has played a key role im my life. It convinced me to begin the dream of mine and finish the book I started to write in high school. I'm only 22 and I know I have a lot of learning to do but now maybe I'll have a little more fun with it. ... I can only hope I can reach somebody the way your book has reached me." -- Ryan, age 22, Houston, TX
"I just had to tell you that I loved your book, it was terrific. Talk about synchronicity, last month I received your e-mail via my visit to the Celestine Web Site and ordered your book. I am so glad I did, your book entered my life just at the perfect time! I've been going through my own "Who, What and Why" and reading your book has helped me put things into a better perspective. I must tell you I couldn't help but laugh when I realized that your main character Jim was an Accountant, just like me. Funny thing though, when I was younger my Mother told me not to become an Accountant (boring) and it wasn't till my early 40's that I finally became one. We all have to find our own road to travel. Thanks again for touching my life in such a special way with your book." -- Nora Miller, age 45, Long Island, NY
"Once I started reading this book, i couldn't stop. I lost myself in the pages, and came out with a new attitude towards life, and living. Phrases kept jumping out as I read.... "If you want things to change, change things.." "Nothing will happen unless you make it happen... This book gave me a whole new slant on the everday things around me - woke me up - shook me up, and I haven't been the same person since (whew!) I know in my heart that everyone who reads this book will take something magical from it, and maybe figure out who, what, and WHY they are.... If you need that little kick to get you headed in a new direction, I urge you to READ THIS BOOK. It will change your life." -- A Reader From, Twin Falls, ID
"Excellent book you wrote. Never have I cried reading a book. And twice at that! Thank you for all your insights. " -- Melody S., Langley, BC Canada
"An excellent story. Well written to hold the reader's attention, while weaving in the timeless truths of purposeful living. I'm reader 45. I hope that you reach 45,000 or more!" -- Van Wathler, age 45, Loveland, CO
"Have you ever picked up a book and couldn't put it down, you couldn't wait to finish it. But when you were finished you wished that it would continue? This is how I felt when I read The Magic Life. Such an incredible book, made me think about my life and what I needed to do in order to fulfill my dreams. The one line that states - by the time we are 30 most of us give up our dreams for security - this really made me realize the true need to take action on those dreams of mine. I would like to urge everyone to read this book. It will change your outlook on life, if it doesn't, then read it again! " -- A Reader From Dallas, TX
"Thanks for sending the book and inscribing it..It made my day. I also thank the friend who ordered it for me. I didn't put it down until I had finished it. :-) It comes to me at a time when both my husband and I are in professional jobs, decently paid, in a big city, and hate every minute. (of the situation, not life :) We have been seriously discussing whether we need to find jobs somewhere and move, or move on faith that we will figure it out. AArrgghh... Anyway. what I am trying to say, is that your book came at an opportune time and I needed the encouragement to not let dreams be a secondary consideration in our life. " -- BB Autumn
"It's wonderful! ... This is a story that anyone can relate to and find correlation in their life. You really made the 'magic' come alive." -- Roberta Thurmond, age 39, Chattanooga, TN
"Great Book!!! My wife is now reading it...Can't wait for the sequel!!! " -- Matt
"Thanks so much fot the book. I hope you received your money order that I sent. I couldn't put the book down. When I get some extra money I would like to order at least 10 copies to give away. I gave the book to my brother and he loved it as much as I did. There are so many books that are coming into my life right now and all at the right moment. I love the way you write. Someday I want to write a book just as inspiring... Thanks again for your book. I hope you write more because you are amazing. Living the magic."-- Kristi Youngblood, age 29, Kalispell, MT
"I guess I don't really know what to say now, I'm kind of shellshocked. This may sound daft but it's almost as if you are working parralel to myself but on the other side of the globe. Your teachings are so in line with what I teach to those who wish to learn that it's almost scary. Recently I even did quite a bit of work on Maslow's, "Heirarchy of Needs." I was trying to link it to something I call the pyramid of love, which holds a number of the concepts that I feel are different aspects of love ie, patience, compassion, freindship, etc. Your book is an inspiration to us all, I feel that anyone who takes the time to read it will be touched in way they have not been touched by a book before. I will be recommending to the group I work with and to anyone else who I feel would benefit. I would be very pleased if you could let me know if or when you plan to release some of the other books I saw mentioned in the back of "The Magic Life," I am very impressed (you've probably already gathered that), the book is so well written, given time I think it will be more popular than the "Celestine Prophecy," not that it's a competition but the more people that these kinds of works can reach, the better." -- Robert Stone, England
"Well, I have been waiting a long time to read your novel, and after I got home from Twin Falls, it was worth the wait. I usually don't say anything positive to you because it would make your head even bigger than it is. Because I will always remember you as my crazy college roomate, or my favorite cousin while growing up. So this is tough for me to say, but this is the best damn book I have read in a long time. You are to be congradulated E (Ace)!! I wish I would have read it before you published it, I would have been more apt to lend you a few bucks to get it published. Then I could have been on the receiving end when you sell a million books. I know you will. It was great to see you again, and if there is anything I can do to help you sell some books. please let me know. I really like the insurance salesman in the airport! What a great character. " -- Ron Starry, age 40, Boise, ID*** (my cousin)
"I was never much of a student. I'm one of those guys who used to go to class, sleep, kid around and "earn" my C's. Your novel however, has inspired me. I couldn't stop reading it. I read the whole thing at one sitting - yes, my butt is sore, but it's a good sore. It's like one of those muscle aches after a satisfying workout. You seemed to workout two of my main muscles, my heart and my brain. Thank you."-- Mike Habte, age 20, Springfield, Virginia
"I was most impressed with the manuscript, and as with the people you quoted, read it in two days. Good thing the doctors I work for are away so I've been on a forced vacation. Thoroughly enjoyed both the story and the message. I wish you all the luck with it."-- Anonymous
"I wanted to let you know that my mom read your story. She loved it! She said it had been a long time since she read something that could make her laugh, cry, feel happy, just feel good!! She feels you touch on all emotions. She wants to know if you are famous (and of course I told her I would ask)." -- Roberta Thurmond, age 39, Chattanooga, TN
"Well, I just finished the whole story straight through. I am in total agreement with the first person who read it--I couldn't stop reading it. I even put in a good note for it on my BBS and pointed some people this way so they too can read it. It was extremely philosophical ... it made me think about my hum-drum routine of work, classes and studying. It was a very refreshing and inspiration read and it really did make my day! I hope you get this published soon. At the moment, my E-mail goes to a place where I can't get file attachments. I would like to post this up for everyone to see, but since it's being published, I'll just tell everyone to be on the lookout for it. BTW, I was on the verge of collapsing into a sleep-deprivation slumber before reading this and when I started I couldn't stop ... It was just that much of a good read. Oh yeah, write more ... your style is totally cool. (-8"-- Anonymous
"I have informed my husband that it is a "must read". It may change the entire course of his life, however. He always wanted to be a journalist like his grandfather. After reading your book, he may decide to scrap marketing and go back to school!!!!! Follow that elusive dream of his!" -- Geri Goldenberg, age 43, Wayne, New Jersey
"What an astoundingly great novel! I hope that you are able to publish it. If you do, I own a small bookstore and would be interested in carrying it. If you don't have a publisher, perhaps I can help you find one, as we deal with several. Best of luck to you, I thoroughly was entranced and changed by the story."-- Loren Larsen, age 25, Durhaam, North Carolina
"You have given a gift. Your words of encouragement and hope, intricately woven into a well structured novel, enraptured me. It was very entertaining, while pulling on the very core of existence. The clarity and conciseness makes your book an easy read for anyone. The message is clear and the impact is empowering. More importantly, I appreciate how your use of the "paranormal" doesn't play off cheaply to your readers. The reconciliation in the final chapter, allows your audience to embrace those events even more. Thank you for your gift. "-- Timothy Roebuck, age 25, Virginia Beach, VA
I just finished and it is wonderful! I can't say enough wonderful things about your efforts. This is a story that anyone can relate to and find correlations in their own lives. "The difference is not in the path that one takes but the trail that one makes", this is so true. You really made the "magic" come alive. It's kind of like that we all "know" that there is magic but we forget to look for it.-- Roberta Thurmond, age 39, Chattanooga, TN
"I just finished reading your novel, and must say that it more than lived up to the claims on it's web-site. I would go as far as to say that it was one of the best books I have ever read. I plan on sending some $ as soon as I can scrape some up (I'm 17 and unemployed, what's a boy to do?)"-- Anonymous, 17 year old student.
"This was a good time in my life to read this story. I had begun to question "why" I was doing what I did for a living and some other things about my life. It's funny but reading this particular story helped me resolve some of my personal issues. I do what I do for a living (higher educ) because I like it and I'm good at it!! It's not about money for me, it's about helping students. Also, you helped me resolve some things with my dad's illness. Are you sure you aren't a psychiatrist? He has emphysema (I probably didn't spell that right, sorry) and has had it for several years now. He isn't going to get better and that's something I realized a long time ago. He chooses to continue smoking (3 packs a day) but that is his choice to make, not mine. I have to make peace with his decision and somehow this special story has enabled me to do so (thank you). ... I don't really have the proper words to express to you how refreshing this "insight" is, it is indeed a special talent that you have. Well, Ace, I could go on for "pages" with praise for this special story and a very special writer. It is indeed a privilege to "meet" you! I hope that you will continue with your endeavors. The right publisher is out there somewhere! "-- Roberta Thurmond, age 39, Chattanooga, TN
"Finished the Last Chapter!! Enjoyed - I did not know you had such captivating writing skills - watch out Grisham! "***-- Carole Brannan, Houston, TX
"I went directly to the novel -- I read it all last night and really enjoyed it. Of course, I enjoyed it even more than the people that don't know you because I understood why many of the names were used ("Madenhead" had me laughing -- I never thought to turn his name into something so risque) and some of the Austin references. I also recalled our passage through the MBA program and how many entered thinking about jobs and left thinking about life."***-- AEJC, Dallas, TX
"I just couldn't stop reading!!!! I find it rare when a book not only entertains, but also manages to touch mind, body and spirit. It truly is a book of magic. Thanks." -- Jim Rock, age 38, Marietta, GA
"I truly did enjoy your book and definitely believe you should get it published. I can also see it as good movie material ( I do that to every book I read). I pretty much neglected my cat and my boyfriend today so that I could finish reading it." -- Linda R.
"...I am so in agreement with your philosophy that I have put a link on my homepage at http://www.nni.com/~magicwords."-- Barbara G., Catasauqua, Pennsylvania
"I have read your novel, and it's really good. It's a good read, and, like many of your other readers, I wiled away a morning reading it straight through. Thoroughly enjoyed it, too, and will recommend it to my friends. All this time I've lived in Austin and I've not been to the Pecan Street Festival yet. Laziness, maybe. Anyway, maybe if I go, I'll have a look for Max. :-)."-- Buddy Brannan, age 24, Austin, TX
"This has got to be one of the best stories I have ever read. Too few of the things I read actually have a message. I wish I could spare some money, this book really deserves to be published. All I can give you is the knowledge that you really touched a poor student who hasn't felt this way about anything for a while now. Keep writing on the Internet so that poor folks like me might get too keep reading such insightful writing. -- John Kruger, age 20, Half Moon Bay, CA
"I have just [spent] a whole afternoon reading The Magic Life from start to finish. I would otherwise have been wasting it doing something else other than what I should be doing, which is work. Hopefully it will teach me how to stop wasting my life and get on with living it. You are truly a star." -- Barry de la Rosa, age 28, London, United Kingdom
"... I think that you should call it 'The Eleventh Insight'. It was really very good, I know someone that needs to read this ... I had my own Gina."-- Carlos Tores, age 50, Yonkers, NY
"I couldn't hardly wait until this morning to write you. The greatest compliment to any writer (from my perspective anyway)--GIVE ME MORE!!! QUICK!! The first chapter is wonderful (and if it keeps getting better--and you should know--HURRY HURRY). I like the very beginning--starting out with a nightmare! Nightmares are how we process and filter information, great way to begin. No other nightmare shakes you up as much as the "falling" dream, even when you wake up you're not sure you're awake. The magician, you really caught the essence of magic!! Life is magic (if we only remember to look for it). The line ".. by telling the secret, the magic itself will disappear" is so true (not just about life but about anything mysterious). Gosh Ace, I'm sitting here in my chair trying to magically make the next chapter appear!! This is a wonderful beginning and I can't wait for more!! ... There is no doubt that you have the gift of vision. It takes a special kind of writer to get people to "see", you have that gift Ace. I was in the nightmare, I was falling. I was there on the street with the crowd (all the sights, smells, different people). I lived the special excitement that only magic can bring!! THANK YOU!! ... Please don't get discouraged! I know it's hard to get published, but stick with it Ace. You have a very specific gift that needs to be shared with others!! Just my humble opinion (for what it's worth)...Thank you again Ace, for sharing this story with me."- Roberta Thurmond, age 39, Chattanooga, TN
*** These people know me or are related to me, so I don't know if I would trust their opinion. (Just kidding!) -- Ace
